Tonight we have an evening of great live music from:
Charly Houston is a 22 year old Glaswegian songstress and award winning folk musician with over ten years live experience. Houston is known for her quirky takes on songs, her fingerpicking and ragtime blues style guitar and her unique ability to always capture an audience, with her on stage banter.
Billy has recently signed a publishing development deal with Reservoir Media/Reverb and has been working with a variety of world class writers and producers including Pam Sheyne, Matty Benbrook, Sky Adams and lots of other young up and coming talent in and around London.
He has a very unique voice, he writes great songs (for one so young) and has a natural stage presence.
Dimitri is a 21 year old actor/singer based in London. Having recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he is happy to make his London gigging debut at The Bedford.
From the moment Paul heard the opening chords and lyrics for Bob Dylan’s “Dont Think Twice It’s Alright” he knew he wanted to write songs.
Growing up in East and North London, Paul was heavily influenced with the sound of the streets and the people that walked along them, and listening to the music that flew out from speakers from the radios of parked cars and terreced house windows, had a profound affect on Paul.
“Music to me was more than just a juvenile outlet, it was a passion, an art form, a feeling, a statement… and when done properly has the overwhelming power to move and inspire people. There is no better feeling than when someone you have never met before can connect with a song you have created, its fantastic!”.
Within the fabric of pauls well crafted songs you can hear subtle influences from Artists such as Ryan Adams, Ray Lamontagne, and Nick Drake.
There is no question about it, Paul has an incredible ability to capture the attention of a whole room when he plays. When you see Paul play live, with his full band, or just solo with his acoustic guitar and harmonica, it’s clear that he oozes with musical talent and ability. His voice is powerful and soulful, and I can promise you, it will blow you away.
Paul is currently becoming a prolific singer songwriter on the london music scene, playing to crowds in some of Londons most prestigous venues, Paul Adams is definitely a name to look out for.
Gillespie has been based in London for the past two years, gigging intensively and recording at a number of different locations. A singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, her debut EP ‘Seventh Wave’ was recorded and produced entirely by her. ‘Restoration’, a track from this EP, was picked by Newton Faulkner to be part of his playlist of upcoming artists who were then featured on the Q mag homepage.
