Tonight we have an evening of great live music from:
London based professional singer songwriter and music event organiser, Chloe Ray, released her debut 4-track EP “The Waiting Room” in January 2016. There is a raw emotional feel to the EP throughout the four tracks. Underlying exceptional performances are stories of heartbreak, loss, courage and a poignant track addressing the struggles of a unknown musician lost in New York. The EP confronts a raw and honest battle with personal experiences.
The EP was mastered by Grammy nominated engineer Emily Lazar (Sia, Foo fighters, Jeff buckley, Lou reed, Alanis Morissette) at the Lodge in NYC, and produced and recorded by multi-award nominee Andy Brook (Status Quo, Ginger Wildheart, The Frisbys, Coffee Pot Drive).
In June 2017, Chloe released her second 4-track EP “Reprise”, which features Grammy nominee Scott McFarnon on backing vocals. The EP was mastered by British engineer, Barry Grint (Madonna, Prince, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Oasis, The Beatles).
Chloe has been a Featured Artist on many BBC, US, Canadian and French radio stations performing both live as well as repeat airplay, and was well received in the US during her recent trip to New York City where she performed every night.
Chloe has shared the stage with Adam Barry from Merrymouth and Dan Sealy (Ocean Colour Scene) as well as The Rainband (Paolo Nutini, Kaiser Chiefs, Simple Minds)
“Pop gets an infusion of young blood with Adam Tuffrey, 23 year old singer-songwriter from Bournemouth, UK”
His ear for catchy chord progressions or a feel good tune does not fail with his string of hot new releases in 2017. Adam has been playing all over the UK and continues to make an impact with his latest track, ‘Guessing’, now available from all digital retailers.
Adam Tuffrey is an exciting up and coming pop artist; playing for audiences across the country for the last few years. His unashamedly feel good pop has drawn comparisons to those such as Chris Martin, as well as some likening his commercial sound to Bruno Mars fronting a Big band – brash and cheeky, yet never shying away from his exquisite musicality.
Adam took up the piano and started song writing aged eight and, upon leaving school with the correct amount of education to propel him into a career of one night stands in piano bars, he has been pursuing a career in the industry ever since.
Adam’s journey includes a nearly fatal encounter with bacterial meningitis. His recovery inspired him to work with Meningitis Now, a charity for which he has, to date, raised over £50,000. In the process he earned the British Empire Medal from the Queen on her 2014 Birthday Honour’s list and got to meet the Monarch at Buckingham Palace. Appearances on chat shows and national TV followed as well as a gig at St James Palace. Adam was a nominee for the Pride Of Britain Awards in the same year.
In April, Adam released his first single, ‘Superstar’ and followed this up with a second track, ‘Hurricane’, that was picked up by BBC Introducing and featured on Radio Solent. Over the summer he’s played his new material to growing crowds at various venues, including The Spice of Life and Camp Bestival, and has since been back in the studio writing and recording new material.
It’s not the CV of your average indie kid – Adam is an artist to watch, or rather listen to, that’s for sure!!

Steve Cherelle, BBC Essex
One Saturday afternoon instead of going to learn clarinet Simon Baum sat under a tree and wrote his first song. He was 12 and he hasn’t stopped writing since. Simon is an Essex based singer songwriter who has performed at venues all over the world and appeared on the same bill as artists such as Ed Sheeran, Will Young and SOHN. He has had recent success with his song ‘Bridges’ reaching the semi final of UK Songwriting Competition this year.
