Tonight we have an evening of great live music from:
Tailor is a force to be reckoned with, her diverse voice and stage persona will take you through an emotional and captivating journey which will leave you inspired. Her astonishing performances in London in 2017 are due to be repeated countrywide in 2018 with a move to the capital.
Tailor’s story started at eleven in the milk section of a shopping mall where she performed a song about lip-gloss: the most valued possession of a young girl. Her first fan asked her why she was so quiet before her performance, and the young Tailor replied: “To save my voice, so I can scream on stage!”
Tailor’s 2013 debut album Dark Horse was nominated twice at the SAMA’s (South African Music Awards), she received another 2015 SAMA nomination for her second album Light, and a 2017 SAMA nomination for her latest album Trust Pt. 1.
In 2016 Tailor recorded Trust Pt. 1 in Texas with Zak Loy, the lead guitarist from Ed Kowalczyk’s LIVE at Orb Recording Studios. Zak stated: “We experienced past and present scars, fun, happy, rude, mean, sexy, scary and sad emotions. I’d have to say I lost myself in this record within the first few hours after we started recording…”
Tailor collaborated with Ed Kowalczyk’s (LIVE lead singer) on a song called: Angels on a Razor and British music producer and audio engineer Tim Palmer, known for his work on mixing and producing Pearl Jam, U2, Ozzy Osborne, The Cure to name a few also worked on Tailor’s latest album.
With a move to London in 2018,
“With her two previous studio releases, Tailor has proven that she has mastered both the brooding folksy dark pop genre (Dark Horse released in 2012), as well as the upbeat, commercial indie pop genre (Light released in 2014).” – Dee Theart -louisepiterse.com
“Tailor’s breathtaking and awe-inspiring stage performance is something to behold. The UK has not seen the likes of it since Bat For Lashes broke the scene some time back…” – Musigooroo
