Tonight we have an evening of great live music from:
Lee is a pianist, organist, vocalist and composer originally from Wales, and graduated with a degree in psychotherapy in 2009.Lee grew up inspired by the traditional choral singing in his first language of Welsh and spinetingling organ playing at his local chapel in South Wales. This inspired Lee to become an organ scholar and perform concerts at cathedrals around the UK. Lee is currently recording a self-penned album of a fusion of genres-The Journey Home which is a concept album describing a story of his personal journey of transformation following groundbreaking surgery to remove the roof of his mouth and reconstruct his face and upper pallet. The album will raise funds for Guys and St. Thomas’ hospital which took such fantastic care of Lee. The album will express the universal themes of spirituality, finding our place in life and celebrating the positive impact we can have on each others lives, and will draw on Lee’s interests of spirituality and his experiences in his previous traning and work as a psychotherapist and will feature the voice of Carl Jung. Lee is inspired by artists such as Kate Bush and David Bowie and his compositions are a reflection of his wide experiences as a musician and his work in the field of psychotherapy. Tonights track is an insturmental taken from this album -Music Of The Wave, taken from the album The Journey Home, expresses the stirring spirit for a new, emerging life following a serious breakdown, following which there occured a transformation and a new sense of self. The old had passed away and Lee experienced a resurgence of creativity. It was as if he had rediscovered music along with his cathartic experience of the breakdown, which became a breakthrough. The album is an unabashed expression of life’s roller-coaster ride and features many guest musicians.Lee is pleased to be accompanied on the saxophone tonight by Aldevis Tibaldi
