Tonight we have an evening of great live music from:

Foreign Dog is the nom de plume of Charlie Calleja, a singer/songwriter from London, England. His self-released debut EP, Leaps and Beats, came out in June 2017.

After growing up in the punk rock scene, Charlie spent the autumn of 2008 in Los Angeles recording his debut solo album with Joey Waronker (Beck, Atoms For Peace) producing. The album featured performances by Josh Klinghoffer (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dot Hacker), Priscilla Ahn, Zac Rae (Death Cab for Cutie), Inara George (the bird and the bee) and Marjorie Fair. A few of the songs could be heard on some TV dramas in the US, but the album never saw release.

Charlie spent the next few years working on various projects, but he kept his distance from writing and performing music. While spending some time in Melbourne, Australia, he caught the bug again and Foreign Dog was born.

Foreign Dog’s second EP, “Let’s All Go To The Party,” is coming May 18th.

Up and coming musician Sansha is a 23 year old music graduate who makes jazzy alternative pop. A singer-songwriter at heart, she has written over 40 songs and produces them into electronic tracks. Live, she takes you through a whirlwind of emotions with her set on stage. Sansha has been described as a ‘Victoria Wood meets Lilly Allen’ hybrid who on the guitar, piano, synthesiser and launchpad delivers her unique original songs with a charismatic ease. Her lyrics are sharp, nostalgic and witty, catching you out with unexpected rhymes and sonorous tunes you won’t be able to stop singing afterwards. The musical style prevents the audience from getting cold feet as she takes you from ethereal electronic chill-out, to folky acoustic guitar laments, to hard rap tracks with a trumpet solo to cabaret style piano anthems. The content does not become stale either; Sansha is not afraid to cover taboo subjects and loves to shock her audience with her rebellious libretto. Her crafty song-writing and bell-like voice have got her tracks aired on the radio numerous times, including everyday for a week in October 2016 on BBC introducing local radio for being track of the week. On the 8th of March Huw Stephens played one of her dance numbers on BBC Radio One, and in September of 2017 she performed two of her tracks electronically live on BBC three counties radio. Having performed at the Montreux jazz festival, her University”s graduation boat ball, sofar sessions In both England and Sweden, a sell out show in the Drawing Rooms Chesham, Butetown carnival Cardiff, as support on the Bournemouth Exeter and Plymouth parts of musician James Kirby’s tour and Various sets around London Sansha is comfortable on stage and loves engaging with the audience. She is currently working on a self-produced EP, incorporating some sounds she sampled while in The Gambia and gigging around London.

Irene Loche, was born on June 26, 1992, in Oristano. Right now the guitarist, singer and composer, raised between blues and acoustic she is pursuing a solo project of original songs that colourfully describe her experiences and emotions to date.

Live on stage, as part of the Sunsweet Blues Revenge trio she has played festivals such as “Mother Blues”, “BLUES IN BLOOM”, “Italian River Blues,” “Out of the Blues” Samedan, “Ameno Blues”, and the prestigious “Pistoia Blues”, evolving and now rediscovering herself in this intimate solo project of folk and soul sounds that meet each other upon the protagonists of open tunings and distant rhythms.

In 2015 she became an official Magnatone Amplifier endorser/artist, alongside such musical luminaries as Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Keith Richards, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Jack White, Joe Bonamassa, Lonnie Mack, Dave GIlmour, and many, many more.

Monique Angele is a unique emerging Canadian singer-songwriter currently based in Australia. Her music blends both classical and pop elements in a style that exhibits both pianistic finesse and soaring vocals.

Monique’s performance history makes her no stranger to the stage, possessing a background in solo piano and voice repertoire, opera and musical theatre. Originally honing her vocal skills in classical opera, she decided that performing her own music was her calling. Her live performances of her original music always convey a charismatic and elegant response from audiences and have won rave reviews wherever she performs.

Her songs range from instrumental complexity and virtuosic vocals to simple and refined moments of bliss. Whether it be about heartbreak, seduction, anger, or lighthearted themes, she delivers honest emotions to the listener.

Her second EP, “Answers” is a natural progression from her first self-titled EP, featuring thick harmonies and a wider range of instrumental accompaniment. The title track and lead single, “Answers”, is a slow-building epic that brings the listener from a simple piano melody to a extravagant climax and back again.

Her new album will be released in 2018. This hotly anticipated album features a mix of modern pop, classical and soul elements and consisting of a wide range of lyrical content – love, self-reflection, hope, human rights. Watch out for this album, it’s definitely her best material yet!

Leah Haworth is a 17 year old singer/songwriter and musician from Lancashire. Having taught herself the acoustic guitar from being 11, Leah started to write songs and sing professionally, releasing her first single at 13, first EP at 14 and second EP at 16. She started gigging when she was 13, and has since played at many prestigious events, such as being a headliner on the main stage of a local festival, Darwen Live, playing the mainstage at The Great British Food Festival, and supporting X-Factor and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here star Jake Quickenden at an exclusive up-close and personal gig.
In 2017, Leah moved to London by herself in order to pursue her music career and attend The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, studying music. She is now doing all she can in order to expose her name in the London music scene, attending regular open mics in and around London, busking, and other various types of gigs.
