At just 12 years old, Charlotte Lily taught herself to play the guitar and started writing songs. As a teenager Charlotte busked around the North West of England with her guitar, describing it as “a process which taught me how to perform live”. After college, with an insight into music production Charlotte produced her first song. ‘Henri’s Song’ was the first original release recorded in her bedroom and uploaded online, written about her cat. Captioned “this is the saddest song you will hear” caught worldwide social media attention, receiving over a million combined views and BBC Introducing support. 2 self recorded EPs (‘Mountains’ and ‘Days We Lived Best’) followed and Charlotte embarked around the country, performing her own acoustic shows, whilst gaining an increasing number of radio airplay.

In 2018 Charlotte performed inside a sold out Wembley Arena. This appearance led to Charlotte accepting an opportunity to develop new music in Thailand during 2019. Charlotte self funded her entire music development, investing anything and everything into creating the music she always imagined. With the guidance of multi-Grammy nominated producers, writers, and legendary hit makers, Charlotte’s first studio releases ‘Remember My Name’ and ‘Messing’, brought comparison to early Kelly Clarkson tones. 2020 is set to be a milestone year for Charlotte Lily after 7 years of working tirelessly, fighting for her songs to be heard. From playing in pubs to just her parents, to busking in the rain to see her through the week, Charlotte never gave up. The most recent studio release ‘What I’ve Been Waiting For’ captures the storyteller inside Charlotte, and brings the audience back to her acoustic guitar roots.
