“A beautiful vocal performance” – CLASH
“An artist who uses emotion and expressionism to its fullest” – The Pit Ldn
“Frank and relatable lyrics which reinforce her individualism” – EQUATE
“Original, driven and not afraid to express herself” – Wordplay
Amalie Bryde introduced an air of meaningful passion to the world of contemporary R&B when she came onto the scene with her single “You and Me” in March of 2020. In the year since, Danish-born, London-based artist Amalie Bryde has unveiled her powerful debut EP “Lay Down”. Diverse in style and sound, the six track project sees Amalie explore a variety of situations where she has been forced to ‘lay down’ and succumb to love, mental health and societal pressures.
Amalie credits Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, John Mayer, Jennifer Lopez, Eartha Kitt, Nina Simone and Sade as magnificent sources of inspiration and is drawn to bold and honest lyricism. Her own soulful sound embodies provoking topics such as gender inequality, being a 21st century woman and a celebration of individualism such as her single ‘NO’.
In March of 2018, Amalie moved to London with nothing but her laptop and microphone. Through sheer determination, she soon found her way into the recording studio with Glen Scott and has been featured in press coverage by CLASH and The Pit London, has performed live on BBC Radio London, and featured on many prominent playlists such as Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds: The Wave’, ‘Vogue Paris’ and ‘Now Hear This’ by The Independent.

8:30pm MIKE NISBET
Heartbreakingly underrated singer songwriter Mike Nisbet released his 3rd full length record ‘I Was A Great Lake, Once’ in November 2020. Mastering stripped back folk, string laden piano ballads, and fully beefed out productions to push ever forward to find inspiring way to tell stories of modern love, and pain. ‘I make music to find out how I feel about something, to find out what happened. Then the cheques been paid and I can be free’ writes Nisbet of his new works. With resplendently vivid imagery, entangled with ravishing guitar lines they ensure an honest, connected, and powerful listening experience. A medicine you want to soak into at home with a large libation and a weighty spirit.
Although recorded in the early months of of a crumbling 2020 ‘I Was A Great Lake, Once’ had been growing and living with mike for the past 5 years. ’Being able to fall into the recording of this album really saved my skin’ recall Nisbet, who took full control over production and performance at his home studio in SE London, the result is an incredibly introspective and personal album. Little did he know that excavating the previous years hopes and fears and putting them on record couldn’t have come at a better time. A stripped back live performance has always been crucial to the experience of Mike Nisbet’s songs, and lucky audiences managed to catch Nisbet at two sold out performances at The Bedford, London, during the short live season of 2020. God willing 2021 will bring new highs and new Mike Nisbet fans can hear live performances from his ever growing catalogue.

9:30pm ELLY O'KEEFFE
A voice that is as haunting as it is uplifting and that inspires in the same breath as it renders you speechless is a rare and priceless entity. It is also something that Irish singer/songwriter Elly O’Keeffe can be proud to call her own.
Elly first made her mark on the Irish music scene at a very young age, singing in various venues around the country with her family band and giving her future fans the very first taster of her one-of-a-kind vocal stylings. From these early beginnings performing in local venues to her recent move to London where she is actively pursuing her music career, this young artist is ready to bring her remarkable talent to the worldwide stage.
While Elly’s stunning vocal has earned comparisons to legendary chanteuses like Eva Cassidy and Janis Joplin, her voice is immediately distinguishable by her earthy tones and soulful melodies; two particular qualities that make her stand out from the crowd. The raw and untainted nature of her talent is emphasised further by the use of her natural accent during performances. Such honesty and purity is also reflected in this young artist’s addictive personality and effortless charisma, which is evident both on and off stage.
Elly’s folk-based brand of music has developed massively since she first began writing in 2006. Although her debut album ‘When We Live’ gained recognition and acclaim with radio DJs and music lovers in Ireland, her upcoming EP promises to showcase her development both as a musician and a skilled, insightful songwriter, who is undoubtedly set to become one of the most recognisable vocal talents of our time.
