With a sprawling vocal range and compelling approach to composition, PEI’s Dylan Menzie has made an indelible mark in the Canadian music market. After hitting number one on CBC Radio 2’s Top 20 with his breakout single, “Kenya,” Menzie dropped 2016’s Adolescent Nature to acclaim from across Canada. Drawing clear influence from the likes of My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, and Joel Plaskett without being derivative of any one, the quality of his songs heavily belies the young artist’s age.

On the back of his growing success, Menzie has performed alongside acts like City & Colour and Ron Sexsmith, showcased at major international music festivals, and was featured on CTV’s primetime music program, The Launch.

His most recent release, As the Clock Rewinds, is a collection of stripped-down and reimagined cuts from Adolescent Nature that further showcases his artistry and cements his status as an undeniable talent.

GOVARDO formed when two friends – Dom Sky & Jack Rose – took a trip to Goa, India and settled into a simple life in a sunny village for many months. Disconnected from the internet, with just a guitar and a couple of microphones the two discovered a raw and unique musical connection. Dom & Jack returned to the UK and Europe in Spring of 2016 and started spreading their new sound on the streets.

“Follow the Sun” became their motto as they drove over 45,000 miles seeking out sunny weather and discovering epic places. The GOVARDO sound was continually being forged by the experiences, challenges and people they met on the road. In Autumn 2017 they supported Hang Massive on a 30 country European concert tour, which yielded a beautiful response from audiences everywhere. In Summer 2018 GOVARDO’s sounds entered the international ice skating scene after they recorded a captivating rendition of ‘Vincent (Starry Starry Night)’ for Canadian Olympic ice skaters, Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier.

Having spent the last Winter in Mexico writing new songs, GOVARDO are excited to record their debut album of original music.

Their musical inspirations include: Simon & Garfunkel, Hozier, Fleet Foxes, Paolo Nutini, Alt-J, Ray Lamontagne, Ben Howard, The Doors, The Beatles, Jeff Buckley, Joan Baez, Crosby Stills and Nash, Passenger, Bon Iver, Susanne Sundfor, City and Colour, Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, Beck, Twenty-One Pilots and many more.
