What's on
LIVE AT THE BEDFORD
We are excited to be starting live music back at The Bedford again, however, due to the Covid-19 situation, we have had to make some fundamental changes to the way the evenings run in order to make sure the environment is safe for everyone.
Tonight’s show is FREE entry, but everyone needs to book in advance – there will be a ticket link below – Sadly we have limited capacity and no ability for people to walk in and stand, everyone needs to have a seat, There will of course be a full menu and table service throughout the night to look after you all.
For anyone unable to make it in person we will be streaming the show live (our 17th year of live streaming) via the Facebook page – www.facebook.com/thebedfordpub
Doors open at 7pm and we ask everyone to come early enough and stay long enough to enjoy all the performances, as we are unable to use a table for other people if you arrive late, leave early or aren’t able to make it. Due to tier 2 regulations, you can only have one household or support bubble per table. Thank you for understanding.
This evening we have live music from:
8:00pm SAM WALWYN
9:00pm GEORGIA REED
BOOK YOUR TICKET8:00pm SAM WALWYN
Born in the U.K, Sam grew up in the Caribbean & Jersey. As a result, his songwriting influences span everything from Cuban Mambo & Flamenco to Pop. Early support slots included Sir Tom Jones & his first festival spot was at Bestival. Travelling to Australia Sam studied flamenco guitar & was subsequently accepted to study at the Royal Northern College of Music. Unfortunately, he had to return home to Jersey after contracting a life-threatening illness.
During his long, two-year recovery he started uploading bedroom demos & short films to Instagram. His original blend of indie-folk & alt pop tinged with other influences helped him gain support slots for Gabrielle Aplin & shows with Newton Faulkner. Sam has since performed live for BBC Introducing & Sofar Sounds, sold out his first headline show, self-promoted his own UK mini- tour, & performed at Notting Hill Arts Club, The Troubadour, Ronnie Scott’s, Camden Assembly and even at the O2 arena amongst others.
In the midst of lockdown, Sam’s debut single ‘For You’ was released on 26th June and received remarkable traction, gaining over 100,000 streams within the first 8 weeks after being featured on two major Spotify editorial playlists and from a standing start Sam picked up over 20,000 monthly listeners on the streaming app

9:00pm GEORGIA REED
“Some will stay in the periphery, whilst others will rise to the occasion in heated fervor. Georgia Reed may just be part of the latter group, bursting forth and leaving an impression on punters who hear her music or attend one of her shows.” – Joe Wilson, Music Insight
Georgia Reed’s broody, alluring voice has been turning heads and captivating audiences since she dropped her debut single ‘Waiting For You To Run’ in 2016. Her speedy rise to the spotlight has seen her earn regular spins on Australian National Radio, Music Video premieres from the likes of RollingStone, and adds to Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ Playlist.
A songwriter with a penchant for dark, moodier sounds and cryptic storytelling, Reed references personal experiences of alienation, abuse, and heartbreak with such magnetism that is hard to ignore.
“Reed has definitely set herself apart.” – Atwood Magazine US
