What's on

LIVE AT THE BEDFORD

We are excited to be starting live music back at The Bedford again however due to Covid-19 we have had to make some fundamental changes to the way the evenings run in order to make sure the environment is safe for everyone.

Tonight’s show is FREE entry, but everyone needs to book in advance – there is a ticket link below.

Sadly we have limited capacity and no ability for people to walk in and stand. Everyone is required to have a seat. There will be a full menu and table service throughout the night to look after you all.

For anyone unable to make it in person we will be streaming the show live (our 17th year of live streaming) via our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/thebedfordpub

Doors open at 7pm and we ask everyone to come early enough and stay long enough to enjoy all the performances as we are unable to use a table for other people if you arrive late, leave early or aren’t able to make it. Current guidelines only permit tables of six or two households or bubbles.  Thank you for understanding.

This evening we have live music from:

8:00pm MERCY LEE

8:30pm ADAM RIVERS

9:30pm SCARLETTE FEVER

8:00pm MERCY LEE

Growing up in Yorkshires countryside, with a small and tight nit group of friends, singer songwriter Mercy Lee lived far from the glitz and glamour of London. Hailing from Howden, East Yorkshire her values and influence are taken from the place and the people she grew up with. It’s hard to believe she’s only 21 years old when you hear how her intelligent lyrics give a personal take on relationships, mental health and the everyday difficulties people face. Sonically, Mercy started out on an acoustic guitar, taking influence from John Martin and Bon Iver to Paul Simon and Fleetwood Mac. As she matured personally so did her sound, to become grittier and more driven as she fell in love with the likes of PJ Harvey, Jeff Buckley and Sam Fender. Early releases from Mercy are driven by big guitars and big drums, perfectly mashing together the lyrical and melodic storytelling of her earlier writing and all the modern characteristics of a timeless rock and roll record.

Multi-talented Scarlette is just as at home singing a ballad and playing the piano as she is rocking out with a guitar; not to mention her accomplishments as a songwriter, and recently producer.
