What's on

LIVE AT THE BEDFORD

We are excited to be starting live music back at The Bedford again however due to Covid-19 we have had to make some fundamental changes to the way the evenings run in order to make sure the environment is safe for everyone.

Tonight’s show is FREE entry, but everyone needs to book in advance – there is a ticket link below.

Sadly we have limited capacity and no ability for people to walk in and stand. Everyone is required to have a seat. There will be a full menu and table service throughout the night to look after you all.

For anyone unable to make it in person we will be streaming the show live (our 17th year of live streaming) via our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/thebedfordpub

Doors open at 7pm and we ask everyone to come early enough and stay long enough to enjoy all the performances as we are unable to use a table for other people if you arrive late, leave early or aren’t able to make it. Current guidelines only permit tables of six or two households or bubbles.  Thank you for understanding.

This evening we have live music from:

8:00 PM TOBY PEARCE

8:30 PM TONY MOORE & JULIA CUBO

9:30 PM LIKE RIBBONS

8:00 PM TOBY PEARCE

“We closet artists are everywhere. Let us out!” Toby Pearce, a native of Leigh-On-Sea, might just be the freshest, most intriguing new singer-songwriter you’ll hear this year. He is also 51 years of age and a type one diabetic. He began writing and recording songs on connected
tape decks when he was a teenager, but took a “proper job” after being discouraged at home. The writing never stopped, and 30 years later he realised he was miserable because he had neglected his inner world of music. It took him further years in his spare time to hone his
songcraft and live performance at open mic nights with songs that come from his deepest feelings and life experiences.

This is grown up music that anyone can understand, young or old. Toby’s lyrics are influenced by the honesty of Leonard Cohen and Adele – he doesn’t hide behind metaphor. He is at heart a classic rock artist with blues roots and a modern but “real instruments” production approach. His vocals and sound are influenced by his heroes Roger Waters, Bryan Ferry and Jackson Browne among others. Toby produced his first album in his home studio, and was fortunate enough to attract esteemed producer John Reynolds (Sinead O’Connor, Damian Rice, Andrea
Corr) to play drums and co-produce.
