8;30pm AVA LILY

Ava has had a wild ride.

Whisked from writing songs at home in her Bristol bedroom, after being spotted on YouTube and picked up by R&B impresario NAUGHTY BOY. A signing to Virgin EMI and her debut single ‘Painkiller’ soon followed. The track garnered effusive reviews, praising her intoxicating, soulful vocals and intimate lyrical style.

A year of relentless touring followed, and a televised appearance at Wembley Arena as part of 2017’s X Factor. Her talents have led to to collaborate with the likes of PROFESSOR GREEN (on ‘Pardon me’) and songwriting credits with big names like ZAYN MALIK (on ‘Common’) — evidence that her skills as a wordsmith are just as finely honed as her live performance is.

Now setting out in a new direction, 2019 sees Ava playing live more than ever before, as she prepares to release her debut EP.”

9:00pm AMY VIX

Amy  is a singer-songwriter based in London. Amy grew up in a large musical family in a small town on the outskirts of London listening to punk rock and writing music with her brothers. Amy’s mother is a writer who loves country music and her father a keen electric guitarist.

Amy’s sound has been described as americana, based on her country-style vocals but the strong electric guitar emphasis gives her a unique edge. Her strong attraction towards electric guitar was inspired by listening to blues and rock growing up and her songwriting influenced by americana singer-songwriters and UK rock bands.

“Ben Roberts will definitely make you smile, and should be taking over most of the charts very soon! No joke!”  Ola Szmidt, Tom Robinson’s Fresh on the Net.

“What a brilliant session… It’s an honour to be in here with you doing that. So good, really really great!” Alan Raw, BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire

“Powerful and immediately attention grabbing; this young man’s ability was frankly clear within minutes of beginning to play.” – Leeds Music Scene

‘Ben Roberts started writing music from an early age, taking influence from artists such as Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Hozier and Kings of Leon. Ben has a unique vocal tone that compliments his powerful lyrics and hook-filled melodies.

After supporting Newton Faulkner and Hannah Grace on their respective UK tours, Ben was given the opportunity to perform at Glastonbury and Boardmasters. Other artists that Ben has supported include Gabrielle Aplin, Lewis Watson and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats.
