Join us for Michael Bird’s EP Launch, where we celebrate his new music with, what’s set to be a memorable night of live performances.
Welcome to the Michael Bird – Evergreen EP Launch! Join us at The Bedford in Balham, London for a night filled with amazing live music and good vibes. Michael Bird is joined by his very talented band, performing a set of his original material including his new songs from his anticipated EP – Evergreen.
Singles from this upcoming EP such as Roots and Creases have already received resounding support and praise from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, and BBC Introducing Kent (with Michael being listed as one of Abbie McCarthy’s artists of the year in 2023), and Jazz FM.
This project explores love and relationships ‘beyond the borders of infatuation’. Evergreen pushes back against our current disposable relationship culture and weaves in messages of hope and resilience. Sonically, Evergreen moves Bird’s music toward darker and earthier shades from his previous EP ‘Bloom’. It is an eclectic mix of R&B, indie, singer-songwriter, and electro, overlayed with moments of orchestral elegance.
It’s not just his band that will be joining the celebrations but outstanding support acts; Latir and Eddy Luna.
Eddy Luna is an exciting new artist emerging out of the Black Country in the West Midlands. She is a gifted singer-songwriter matching raw, introspective lyrics about relationships and mental health with neo-soul and jazz-indebted production.
Latir is a London-born and bred multi-disciplinary Alt indie-RnB artist with an avant-garde style, fusing together his love for hip hop, old-school jazz melody, electronic music, and poetry. This can be easily heard & felt through his timelessly uplifting melodies, his affinity toward all things dreamy & nostalgic, and his generously thought-out story-telling.
