About The Bedford, Balham – Three Cheers Pub Co

The Bedford is an iconic venue that was always destined to be part of the Three Cheers Pubs Co. family. In the summer of 2018, they utterly transformed the site to create a bar, restaurant, club, live entertainment and music venue with 15 boutique hotel rooms. It opened in December that year.

The Bedford is the ninth pub in the Three Cheers Pub Co. collection which was started by school friends Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds and Nick Fox in 2003 when they opened their first pub, The Abbeville in Clapham. Aside from The Bedford, they are responsible for The Avalon, The Abbeville and The Stonhouse in Clapham, The Bolingbroke and The Latchmere in Battersea, The Rosendale in Dulwich, The Tommyfield in Kennington, The Trafalgar in Chelsea and The Princess Victoria in Shepherd’s Bush.

Their ethos has always been to do the simple things well, add a dash of flair and exceed expectations. Award-winning ales and well chosen wines are matched by menus designed to hit the mark in terms of unpretentious comfort (hence their famous steaks and burgers) whilst also offering innovative and ‘grown up’ food cooked by passionate chefs.
