Banana Cabaret

Banana Cabaret is taking a final bow and retiring from the stage. We are celebrating the close of our 43 year residency at The Bedford with a FAREWELL FESTIVAL running Friday, 1st – Saturday, 30th May.

Opening in 1983, Banana Cabaret comedy club was at the vanguard of the new alternative comedy movement, hosting all the greats over the years. The club was a shining light through the golden age of live stand-up, playing a vital role in weaving this exciting and unique art form into the fabric of British culture.

Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre, Jo Brand, Catherine Tate, Jack Dee, Rob Brydon, Sarah Millican and all your favourite household name comedians, cut their standup teeth here.

The club has always been committed to being a springboard for new and emerging talent and has remained a favourite with established artists, popping in for weekend gigs, special event solo shows and performing at our annual Balham Comedy Festival.

DOOR 6.30pm / SHOW 8.30pm – 10.30pm (unless otherwise stated)
Table reserved with online booking. Guests are asked to be be seated by 7.15pm latest if wishing to order meals, otherwise by 8.00pm to allow time to order drinks. Standing tickets are available at the ticket desk on the night (cash only) – any remaining seating first come first served.
