8:00PM KIRSTIE KRAUS
Hailing from Wisconsin, Kirstie Kraus moved to Nashville in 2017 to further pursue her flourishing career as a solo recording artist and songwriter following her time in the country-rock band Thirsty Jones (her fans are now nicknamed Thirsties as an homage to that period and a fun rhyming play on words to her name). Kirstie’s music style is an original mix of Blues, Pop, Rock and Country with funky bass lines bubbling under the surface. Since permanently relocating to Music City, Kirstie has toured across the US and opened for some of country’s biggest stars including Thomas Rhett, Kip Moore, LANCO, Eric Paslay, Brandy Clark, Walker Hayes, The Cadillac Three, Pam Tills, Brothers Osborne, and Randy Houser to name a few. In 2023 her breakout year in the UK arrived with her playing the coveted C2C Festival at the O2 Arena in London. Her fanbase in Britain has grown considerably and her name further rose up the ranks thanks to her collaboration with rising UK artist Thomas Kavanagh on the single ‘Who Am I Gonna Love’ which has had support from Apple Music, Absolute Radio, BBC Introducing, CountryLine Radio and many more outlets. 2023’s growing success built on a standout 2022, which saw Kirstie Kraus releasing her debut album ‘Yes You Can’ which she supported with a six-month headline tour across America – the LP comprised 11 tracks including the hit singles ‘Bird’, ‘Thirsty’, and ‘Silver’. The LP was a roaring success and earned Kraus multiple accolades such as 7x nominations at the Best of Women of Country, and Josie Music Awards (the largest independent music award show). Having been writing and playing music since age 11, Kirstie Kraus understands the nuances of her vocals and through that, she is able to create songs that showcase her abilities and complement the tone she has. You only have to take a look at her back catalog and industry support to see that country music is where she belongs and that she is an artist who is rightly taking Nashville by storm. “My music is uplifting and it has its own unique sound that compiles a mixture of bluesy pop rock undertones with funky bass lines” – Kirstie Kraus

8:30PM ANDY SMYTHE
A singer-songwriter from London, Andy Smythe has for the past 20 years quietly stolen the hearts and minds of all that hear his evocative, finely crafted songs. He has a powerful tenor voice that is similar in style to Rufus Wainwright. Andy is also a classically trained pianist. Andy’s song writing is been influenced lyrically by the likes of Dylan and Leonard Cohen but musically his biggest influences are The Beatles, orchestrated Baroque-pop and the Americana music of the Rick Rubin produced Johnny Cash records. He has previously released six albums that range in style from the ‘Lindisfarne’ folk/pop of ‘Love Unspoken’, to the brasher folk/rock of ‘Nation of the Free’.
As a live performer, Andy has played a huge variety of festivals and venues on the UK folk/acoustic scene and has toured in the USA. Andy’s performances have won over audiences and earned him accolades from the like of The Waterboy’s Mike Scott who has been to see him play live. Andy plays solo on stage piano and guitar but is performing at the Bedford with an eclectic line up of talented musicians. With the release of ‘Hard to be Human’ Andy is hoping to find a wider audience for his music and gain further recognition for his song writing.

Charlie Sloth described her voice as unique, with a talent for writing, which she has been evolving and showcasing for nearly two decades. In 2021 Phoenix wrote her EP How Do You See This?
