Sky Islands was born when nearly 20 years ago when Molly and Charlie found themselves crossing paths at the same music college. They began writing songs together almost immediately, gravitating towards a natural fusion of Folk and Country music. As the years passed, both Molly and Charlie ventured into various careers within the music industry, gaining valuable experience and honing their craft. Despite the demands of their individual paths, the dream of creating an album together never faded. Now, in 2024, that dream has come to fruition with the forthcoming release of their debut album, “Cloud Nine” This album is a testament to their journey, showcasing a raw, energetic, and authentic blend of Folk, Country, and Blues. Each song is crafted to take listeners on a wonderful and imaginative journey, reflecting the duo’s experiences of the trials and triumphs of life. WALTER KOCAYS
“My darkest moment brought understanding to the power of creation,” says Walter Kocays, the Manchester-based, Stoke-born Alternative-Folk artist. Influenced by artists such as John Martyn, Kae Tempest, Stephen Fretwell, and James Blake, Kocays creates a unique sound that blends power, hypnotism, and melancholy. His live performances are enriched by the addition of foot percussion, orchestral instruments such as flute and violin, keys, and bass, creating a deeply atmospheric experience. His lyrics often explore personal struggle, love, and societal themes with unflinching honesty. Since launching his solo project, Kocays has continued to carve out his distinctive niche, performing alongside artists such as John Power (Cast & The La’s), Ben Ottewell (Gomez), James Walsh (Starsailor), Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, and Tom Hingley (ex-Inspiral Carpets). A significant milestone in Kocays’s career came with his debut at Glastonbury Festival 2024, where he performed on the Hive stage. “It was an incredible experience that I’ll never forget, and one that I aim to build upon,” he reflects.

TOM HEWITT
A 25 year old self taught drummer, turned guitarist from Stafford who has an exceptionally captive hold on his audience. With influences like Sam Fender, Amber Run, Holly Humberstone – Tom will, with his music take you to places you may have experienced before but with an interesting twist whilst delving into what life is like as a 25yr old in todays society with his soft, alternative indie/pop sound.. You may think you’ve heard this type of music before and this is where you’re wrong.

In 2019 Nick was discovered by German pop titan Dieter Bohlen and invited onto the singing show DSDS. Nick’s touching performances were embraced by the nation in Germany which led onto much success in Europe after he came 2nd in the finals. He has been rated on tv as one of the best performers in the history of the show. In 2020, Nick then went on to win the singing show Germany’s – Das Supertalent, giving an unforgettable performance in the finals. An excellent musician, with a knowledge of a wide variety of instruments and genres. With a history of collaborating with many artists and producers, playing around the world, performing on radio and TV. Nick has a distinctive unique and unforgettable voice. He is a sought after entertainer, with a long list under his belt of corporate events, high end weddings, private VIP parties and prestigious European balls. From playing privately for Real Madrid’s soccer star Toni Kroos to headlining the televised annual event, Germany’s famous Sportpresse Ball at the Frankfurt Opera House. Frequenting prestigious Rocco Forte hotels, such as the Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt and performing at hundreds of high end private parties all over Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany and Mallorca, Spain.
