Since his debut in 2020 Welsh singer-songwriter, Bob Fitzgerald has firmly placed himself as one of the brightest acts on the UK Country/Americana scene.  With two EP releases under his belt Bob’s blend of Modern Country, Rock & Pop has seen him notch up #1 and #2 iTunes UK Country single and album chart positions, receive play on BBC Radio 2, Country Show, with Bob Harris, awarded UKCMA Male Singer of the Year 2021 and secure repeated plays on BBC Radio Wales Welsh A-List.
All of this in only two short years. With new material set for release, this coming Summer and a stream of solo acoustic and full band live dates throughout 2022 it certainly looks like another great year ahead.

Whilst down a Wikipedia-hole in 2014 learning about the history of photography, Richard O’Gorman stumbled upon a picture of a man on a wagon. He instantly thought it would make a great album cover. He then learned it was Roger Fenton, the first war photographer, and an idea was born. Make a concept album about Roger and his experiences in the Crimean War.

Fast forward to 2020 and when lockdown hit, Richard thought it was finally time to bring this album to life. So here it is, 8 years later. Roger Fenton’s Wagon is a semi-historically accurate romp through the Crimean War. We’ll meet some figures and hear of events that are still household names today, despite the war itself being largely forgotten. The story is told through spaghetti-western sounds, blues, folk, and an underlying sense of humour. Richard hopes you enjoy it!
