Maroon Town bring their genre-blending, high-energy sound to The Bedford on 5th September! This 8-piece London band has been mixing ska, reggae, rap, funk, and Latin sounds for over 30 years. Their debut, produced by The Specials’ drummer John Bradbury—kicked off a career that’s taken them from BBC Radio to stages across Europe, Japan, and South America.

A long-standing collaboration with the British Council saw the band tour over 15 countries, from the Central Asian republics to the Caribbean, and even perform for the Sultan of Brunei. Their shows have spanned theatres, schools, festivals, and prisons—bringing their music to some of the most unexpected and inspiring corners of the world.

They also made history as the first independent UK band to land a £100,000 sponsorship deal from Dr. Martens. Their live shows are a joyous collision of styles and cultures, delivering conscious lyrics and unstoppable grooves. Their latest single “Bullit (Proof Mix)” was picked as one of Craig Charles’ Best Tracks of 2024 on BBC Radio 6, adding to a deep back catalogue of acclaimed albums and singles that continue to push the boundaries of ska and beyond.
