NEWTON FAULKNER

Newton Faulkner is a man in motion. Across the songwriter’s freewheeling fifteen-year career, the sole constant has been his urge to tear down what came before, shed his creative skin, and outrun industry dogma. Already, that rebel spirit has seen Faulkner’s music pinball from the outer-limits acoustic sorcery of 2007’s UK#1 debut, Hand Built By Robots, through an acclaimed catalogue that takes in rock, pop, folk, soul, and beyond.

MARIE WHITE

Marie White won Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent competition in 2019, and has since signed a publishing deal and supported Keane on their UK tour. Marie grew up listening to her mum’s R&B favourites: Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, and Aretha Franklin, as well as her dad’s classic rock collection including David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen, and this eclectic combination of influences really shines through in her music. Like the lovechild of Tracy Chapman and Lewis Capaldi, her charismatic charm, irresistible vocal delivery, and anecdotal story-telling sparks empathy and recognition within every listener. Marie’s personal musical journey began after a life-changing sports injury altered the course of her future. Bedbound and heartbroken, she crafted her problems into poetry and started making music.

T.I.G.Y.

T.I.G.Y. is an alt-dream pop adaptation of a diary left behind, brought to life by singer and lyricist, Bailey Tzuke, and musician and composer Matthew Racher.
T.I.G.Y. takes inspiration from poetry, introspection and emotion from the past to create an ethereal conversation relevant to contemporary pain, confusion and uncertainty. The diary, that was titled ‘thoughts I give you’, was penned by Bailey’s late aunt before it became a posthumous means of connection and mused the duo’s debut single, Only Way to Let the Light In, in 2021.
T.I.G.Y. have had all of their original releases so far supported by BBC Introducing who have described them as…
‘Dreamy, halcyon pop from generations past to generations future…’
T.I.G.Y. are defined by evocatively powerful vocals and dreamy electro pop textures and take an artful and honest approach to breathing conceptual life into their songs.
Each of their singles from the album follows the chronological form of the diary and shares the same sonic palette as the likes of Beach House, Slowdive, Deerhunter, Mazzy Star and Cocteau Twins. The album was produced and mixed by Cameron Blackwood and recorded at Voltaire studios.
In 2022 T.I.G.Y. will be releasing their debut album and laying their roots in the live venues in the UK and beyond starting with spring dates in Bath, Guildford and London.
All music released via the indie distributor, Republic of Music.
