TOM WATTS

Tom is a solo Guitarist who has been playing since he was 8 years old. Starting out as a rock guitarist, he then gravitated towards the acoustic ditching the pick, and favouring creating percussion sounds and plucking the strings with his fingers.  After molding his sound at Leeds Conservatoire, he has created a unique and captivating style of playing tunes, drums, and chords all on one Guitar.

The songs that you hear in Tom’s set were all written during the first lockdown, whilst simultaneously recovering from a bicycle accident and training to be a teacher. He has released live sessions of two tracks “Gruffalos and Diggers” and “How do you drive such a small car?” filmed at Evoke studios. Both of these are on Youtube. Later this year he will be releasing his debut E.P “Beholden.”

MORNING CRUSH

“An amazing talent” Tom Robinson BBC Radio 6
“A way with words that is so vanishingly rare in music… The best piece of modern folk I’ve heard in a while” York Calling
“Engaging melodies and smart lyrics” Americana UK
“Absolutely Lovely” Frank Turner

Morning Crush have had a busy month, with 2 Frank Turner support slots, a Banquet Records instore, and a tour with The Nick Alexander Music Trust and Xtra Mile Recordings. Relatively new to the modern alternative folk scene, Morning Crush began releasing singles in November 2020 and after playing their first full-band gig at the Camden Roundhouse (Nick Alexander stage) at Lost Evenings festival and selling out their first-ever London Headline show at Aces and Eights weeks in advance, they released a surprise new single Stories Of War. A 5 minute long personal, powerful, and pertinent story of war, generational trauma, Ukraine, and peace.

Drawing influences from the obvious greats, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and Roy Harper, Tim Ostrowsky-Thomas began busking on high streets at 14 and sneaking into open mics under-age. A songwriter with a conscience unafraid to speak his mind, throughout his career-to-date, he has used his music to speak-out about mental health issues and social unrest. Commitment to the cause, in 2015 he busked for 24 hours straight to raise money for Syria relief, and in 2017 for the mental health charity CALM. Although Ostrowsky-Thomas only adopted the moniker Morning Crush in 2020, he had already received BBC Radio 6 airplay and had been featured on Channel 4 news as a solo artist. Developing a small but dedicated fanbase over the years, Ostrowsky-Thomas has also toured with and supported the likes of: Billy Ocean, Will Varley, Billy Bragg, Frank Turner, Art Brut, Tom Grennan, Grace Petrie, and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.

FROM THE TIGER'S MOUTH

When one door closes, another door opens. For London-born singer/songwriter, Harry Sullivan, that door was a literal one – stuck in isolation for much of 2020/21. From the Tiger’s Mouth is a solo/collaborative project borne of a time where we remained connected yet still so very far apart. Cathartic, heart-on-its sleeve songwriting with contemporary dreamlike sensibilities for fans of Frightened Rabbit, We Were Promised Jetpacks, and Augustines.

MARY MOORE

Mary Moore is a folk-pop/indie-pop artist living in Nashville, TN. With powerhouse vocals and storytelling lyrics, she has been captivating stages and connecting to people from all walks of life. Mary’s vocals are comparable to the power of Brandi Carlile and Florence + The Machine, but also with the sweet, quirkiness of Regina Spektor.

Mary grew up in Richmond, VA where she filled her life with music and performance. Mary played piano, french horn, and mellophone, and participated in dance, show choir, choir, musicals, marching band, and wind ensemble. Mary also was the lead singer for a classic rock cover band that toured in Virginia from age 13-18. Mary went to the University of Virginia for college where she became the Music Director of the award-winning acapella group the Virginia Belles.

After graduating college, Mary relocated to Nashville, TN to hone her craft as an artist. Mary has found growing success as a force on stage, her music has been heard on Lightning 100 and Mary has played notable venues in Nashville like the Listening Room Cafe, the High Watt, and The Basement. Mary’s debut EP “Rooted Heart” was released in the summer of 2019, the songs gushing with imagery of the natural world and showcasing Mary’s writing and vocal chops. The title track “Redwoods” was promoted on NPR “All Things Considered” blog, helping the song and Mary reach a new audience. Mary followed up the EP release with a tour all over the US, playing house concerts and Sofar Sounds shows from the cobblestone streets of Boston to the Redwood forest in San Francisco. Mary has racked up 100k streams on her music and she has been gaining fans with her inviting stage presence and entrancing performances.  Mary is releasing an EP in September of 2022, and singles will be coming soon!
