8:00pm WORRYWORRY

Boundary defying solo artist WORRYWORRY represents the future of stadium-filling, soulful balladeers, whilst embracing cues from the underground R&B scene. His music is both enticingly familiar yet refreshingly authentic.
Growing up in West London’s Isleworth, WORRYWORRY was raised in a musical household on a diet of the folk greats who inspired his songwriting craft, including Nick Drake, Bob Dylan and John Martyn. Having spent the past few years honing his sound, WORRYWORRY knacks a refreshing soulful signature, blended with understated trap, hip hop and pop production, inspired by underground artists such as Bones and Spooky Black. His vocals are a stand out element in his music; melancholic, emotionally driven and powerful, helping him to express the pain and heartache contained within his songs.

His innate ability and potential to connect with a wide audience was there from the start, anonymously releasing a string of cuts on Soundcloud including trap-infused ‘Fool’. Then came his label deal with Method Records (Slowthai) in 2020. Released in April 2021, WORRYWORRY’s debut single ‘Outside’ is a soulful track with trap undertones which CLASH described as a “Post-Weeknd R&B sound”, and the follow up single ‘Dead Inside’ co-produced with Jay Moon (Col3trane, SG Lewis) takes the dynamic pairing of underground R&B and alt-soul to extraordinary new heights. The current track ‘Miserable’, a piano-driven ballad where Joe’s panoramic vocals take centre stage, was co-written with indie prodigy Matt Maltese and shares the same lyrical depth and vulnerability as previous tracks whilst showcasing Joe’s dazzling pop sensibilities.

8:30pm BRENDAN CLEARY

When you see Brendan Cleary, what immediately comes to mind? Standing at 5’10’’, the Englishman packs a heavy punch whilst taking the reins of the rugby pitch. The last thing you’d expect to come from his chest are dulcet tones and incredibly catchy melodies.

Brendan is a 25 year old singer/songwriter who’s career has seen him write and gig across the UK and Europe.
Moving to London at the age of 18, Brendan has spent time honing his craft in both Ireland and the Lake District, where his home was always filled with the likes of The Beatles, The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel and James Taylor, all of whom he cites as big inspirations for his musical style. Since moving to the capital, Brendan worked tirelessly to improve his stature as a music artist and songwriter; enrolling on to BIMM London’s Songwriting course, joining the infamous London gig circuit and enjoying regular airplay on BBC Introducing and local independent radio stations. One of his promoters in London has been quoted as saying: “He offers a wide variety of thoughtful and well-written original music that sparks emotion in the audience” as well as “Everything he does is believable and makes you really want to listen to what he is saying”.

Brendan has supported acts like David Gray, Paddy Casey and Brian Kennedy to name a few. His time in Ireland has been invaluable to him as a singer/songwriter. It is clear in his music how influenced he has been by the Irish music scene.

Brendan has also worked with songwriters from; Alice Merton, Wideboys, Graham Henderson (Sinead O’Connor), Belen Arjona (Latin Grammy nominee), the TMS production team to writing for ‘Media set’, and most recently has landed a song cut on the new TV show ‘Luna Squad’ being shown on amazon prime this year.
Brendan’s recent success comes off the back of top line features on Tim Van Werd’s ‘Your love’ and ‘Oblivion’ as well as features on songs by ‘Fasto’ including ‘lipstick’ and ‘not afraid’ both receiving support from armada and spinnin’ records which led to Brendan signing his first publishing deal with BMG Benelux. Brendan spends the rest of his time sharing his knowledge of his chosen instrument, the guitar/ukulele as well as tutoring Songwriting!

9:30pm CAITLIN AND OLLIE CLARK

Caitlin was born and raised in the new forest a few miles outside the seaside town Lymington. Her mother and uncle are both concert pianists, her father – a writer, and her brothers and sister – musicians and artists; she grew up surrounded by culture. Caitlin trained to be a jazz singer and got regular gigs at well-known London clubs and bars doing the classic standards and hanging around with incredible musicians and performers.

Inspired by everything from the iconic works of Amy Winehouse, Billie Holiday, and Aretha Franklin to the new and disruptive sounds of Pip Millet and Olivia Dean. Caitlin, 21, has become a skilled singer/songwriter described as ‘the Venus flytrap of soul and jazz with roots a mile deep’. Captivating on and off stage, she is known for being wildly musical and sharp-witted.

As well as being a strong vocal soloist, she plays flute, guitar and piano and can harmonise almost anything. She has written songs with Bruno Major (Lianne La Havas, MJ Cole) and Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith, Disclosure).
