Talent Is Timeless Release Day Showcase

Saskia Griffiths-Moore, 28, founded an age-positive online songwriting competition with a twist, every entrant had to be age 50 or over. This was during the second lockdown, and is called ‘Talent Is Timeless’, in an effort to prove that ageism should be irrelevant in the music industry, and to connect and inspire people across the country. It went viral online, and attracted backing from the likes of Kasabian’s Ian Matthews, and businesses like Caffe Nero. The prize was a record deal and recording the winning song at Abbey Road Studios as well as musical equipment, industry mentoring and performance opportunities. 

This community of over 1500 UK based songwriters age 50 and above have banded together and kept the movement alive. Lead by Saskia, 11 of them went through a 5 month challenge to write, record and release new music and they will be showcasing their songs at The Bedford, Balham on August 31st, hosted by one of the movement’s judges, Iron Maiden’s Tony Moore and Saskia herself.

An impressive lineup of a maximum of 12 artists are each performing their original music and this showcase is to prove to the world that talent is indeed timeless!
