CampFruit Cabaret Festival: “LGB with the T” – A Celebration of Queer Voices in Solidarity

On Sunday 24 August at 3pm, the walls of The Bedford in Balham will come alive with harmony, pride, and unapologetic queer joy as performers from LGBT choirs across the South East unite for an unforgettable evening of cabaret at the CampFruit Cabaret Festival: “LGB with the T.”

Hosted in the iconic Clubroom of The Bedford Pub in Balham, this event will see talented singers take to the stage in duos, trios, and small vocal groups (up to eight members) to raise their voices in solidarity with their transgender family.

This fabulous evening is the brainchild of CampFruit Events founder, festival director, and drag matriarch Mark Ashton, also known as the one and only Matron. And joining her at the mic is none other than the sensational cabaret clown and queer performance artist Annie Maniac, bringing a double dose of camp chaos and compassion to the stage.

Together, Matron and Annie Maniac promise a night of cabaret that’s bold, joyful, and rooted in community.

“This event is a love letter from the LGBT choir community to our trans siblings,” says Matron. “At a time when solidarity matters more than ever, we’re coming together to sing, support, and celebrate.”
