LIVE AT THE BEDFORD

We are excited to be starting live music back at The Bedford again, however, due to the Covid-19 situation, we have had to make some fundamental changes to the way the evenings run in order to make sure the environment is safe for everyone.

Tonight’s show is FREE entry, but everyone needs to book in advance – there will be a ticket link below – Sadly we have limited capacity and no ability for people to walk in and stand, everyone needs to have a seat, There will of course be a full menu and table service throughout the night to look after you all.

For anyone unable to make it in person we will be streaming the show live (our 17th year of live streaming) via the Facebook page – www.facebook.com/thebedfordpub

Doors open at 7pm and we ask everyone to come early enough and stay long enough to enjoy all the performances, as we are unable to use a table for other people if you arrive late, leave early or aren’t able to make it. Due to tier 2 regulations, you can only have one household or support bubble per table. Thank you for understanding.

This evening we have live music from:

8:00pm MARINA LECOMBER

9:00pm KAT EATON

8:00pm MARINA LECOMBER

To talk about Marina simply as a vocalist or performer would be doing her an injustice. She is distinguished by a unique set of skills, not often found in the profession. We first met when she was working as a backing vocalist on the Ukrainian TV version of “The Voice”. I noted immediately how she stood out from the rest, not only as a performer, but also as an arranger of vocal parts. Despite certain technical difficulties, and a limited number of musicians available for the band, Marina – with great confidence and ease – regularly came up with creative suggestions to present the best possible accompaniment for the performers. She is scrupulous in her work, showing great responsibility and attention to detail, and has an innate knack for finding quick solutions to improve the sound of a performance. Later I got to know her as a composer and, frankly, I was surprised at how accomplished she was. Moreover, I was struck by the fact that she could do everything herself – composing, arranging, programming and sound production! In my experience, it’s extremely rare to come across an individual with such a range of talents at this level. I’m sure those who become acquainted with her work will be equally impressed … Just listen!.”

9:00pm KAT EATON

In a music scene that is rich with female singer-songwriters, Kat’s unique voice stands out, with its low soulful register and immense power and purpose.

Originally discovered through BBC Introducing, Kat’s singles “Giving It Up” and “The Joker” earned her strong support from the late Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2. “The Joker” also kick-started a new wave of support overseas from Belgium and The Netherlands – including playlists and sessions at NPO Radio 1, 2 and 5.

Unsurprisingly given the raw honesty of her lyrical material, and the strength of her vocal, Kat has been compared to some of the industry’s strongest performers, including Amy Winehouse and her hometown hero Joe Cocker.

Having already toured the UK supporting various artists, selling out two headline shows in London, co-writing with the likes of Caro Emerald, Matt Cardle and Ruby Turner and breaking through to new territories via the National Radio airwaves, Kat has just finished recording a brand new collection of songs. Fresh from the studio with a collection of musicians and producers that between them have been Grammy-nominated and worked with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Tom Jones, George Benson and many more.
