8:30pm JENNIFER STEWART
Jennifer Stewart is a distinctive new artist and singer/songwriter from Scotland. Inspired by artists such as HAIM, Sam Fender, and Fleetwood Mac, Jennifer’s style fuses indie guitar influences, with her love of vocal harmonies and pop head-bobbing melodies. The indie-pop’s newest talent, recently released her debut EP ‘Redlight’. A self-reflective body of work about personal struggles with self-criticism, heartbreak, and showing hope of overcoming these emotions and insecurities. Jennifer’s debut EP is a collection of songs created throughout the last year during the pandemic when she – like the rest of the world – was faced with unusual circumstances. The EP touches on struggles with mental health and the relationship with herself and others.
The rising newcomer has already had previous support from her recent debut single ‘Cool’ and ‘Dragging Me Down’ being showcased on BBC Introducing Scotland and received a lot of support from Spotify’s editorial playlists showing a promising start for the independent artist. The Edinburgh-born singer is writing happy/sad pop songs, shining a light on real emotions everyone faces. The new artist wants to bring back the joy of music and provoke relatable, genuine meanings to songs again.

9:30pm BENJAMIN DAVID
Benjamin David is a 25-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from London, UK. He draws upon such diverse influences as Prince, David Bowie, Kendrick Lamar and Gojira.
David was a quiet kid who used to pace around the garden inventing fantasy worlds and characters. He started writing songs at age 11, developing a story-telling lyric style. At 16 he attended The Brit School where he discovered a love for genre-mashing and began crafting his stage persona, a mysterious narrator who would tell the stories of the characters in his songs.
His unreleased debut album is a collaboration with Grammy Award-winning producer Kipper. David, following the death of his father and amidst global political changes, tries to capture a snapshot of what it means to be young in a world full of uncertainty. The record encapsulates David’s ‘hard soul’ live sound, a sound he came up with when he accidentally blasted D’Angelo and Rage Against The Machine at the same time over two different sound systems.
