HARRY PENTONY
Harry Pentony is a Leicester-born pop-rock/indie singer-songwriter creating emotionally charged music with big choruses, atmospheric guitars and an unmistakably heartfelt
vocal. Influenced by early Coldplay, Keane, U2, Sam Fender, Holly Humberstone, Biffy Clyro and The 1975, Harry writes for people who feel deeply and sometimes struggle to put those feelings into words, combining intimate, honest songwriting with widescreen, anthemic energy. His musical journey began at 11, rehearsing with a school band during lunch breaks and staying for hours after school with his bandmates. He was soon gigging and became the youngest
performer to play The Shed in Leicester. At 15, he spent several years busking the Midlands circuit as part of a duo, before going on to play guitar and drums in original and cover bands. Although performing was always a passion, Harry never initially had the confidence to see himself as a lead singer or lyricist. It was only later in life, through vocal training and a deeper commitment to songwriting, that he found the confidence to put his own voice and personal
experiences at the centre of the music. That transformation led to his solo career. His debut Sense of Clarity was picked up by BBC Introducing East Midlands within 24 hours, followed by live appearances at MotoFest, Godiva Festival and Riverside Festival, and a support slot with Tom Walker at HMV Empire. Since returning to Leicester, Harry has continued to build momentum. Navigation and Remember Me were both named BBC Introducing East Midlands Track of the Week, while he has also been named Future Hits Radio’s Artist of the Month, featured as Hot Vox’s
Artist of the Day, nominated for Best Indie Artist at the Radio Wigwam Awards, and received international airplay. His music has even reached the King Power Stadium, with You
Got Me Thinking receiving airtime for Leicester City FC. As well as being invited by BBC Radio 1’s Jodie Bryant to perform at New Music Monday at The Ned in London…
In 2026, Harry reached another milestone, headlining a near-sold-out hometown show with his newly formed band a full-circle moment for an artist who started making music at 11 and spent years finding the confidence to finally step into his own voice. With new music on the way, Harry Pentony is carving his own path through modern indie pop-rock honest, anthemic and built from years of passion, musicianship and lived experience.
