ANDRE TAJCHMAN

ANDRÆ is an independent one-man band leading his own project, associating dark electronic and organic sounds with soulful vocals. Initially influenced by soul and jazz singers like Jimmy Scott or Nina Simone, he also starts showing interest in more experimental electronic/R&B artists like James Blake or serpentwithfeet.

Currently based in London, originally from Brussels, he begins to show a natural talent for all kinds of artistic disciplines, especially visual arts, as a way of escaping a world that seems inadequate. He later teaches himself piano around 12, then turns to songwriting and music production in his mid teens. He writes, produces and performs every song, creates all his visuals and music videos himself.

BASTIE INGRAM

Bastie is a former ‘BBC Introducing Artist of the Week’ who has already received extensive airplay from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio. He is influenced by the likes of Oasis, Lilly Allen, Bowie and Jamie Berry. His songs offer a vivid perspective on modern life and are already drawing attention from a number of industry players. BBC presenter Andrew Marston commented on Bastie’s sound – “Infectious melodies and emotive lyrics from an artist at the beginning of an illustrious career”.

Bastie used lockdown to hone in on his songwriting; the songs which emerged caught the attention of producer Nick Brine (produced on Oasis & Arctic Monkeys records). The pair started working together on Bastie’s new material at the Rockfield Studios early in September last year.

Recently, Bastie released ‘Lullaby Highs’. The song was premiered by Hot Press Magazine and received front page coverage from the local paper as well as a string of good reviews.

Hot Press: ‘The only way is up for the English talent. Hot Press are certainly excited to see what indie-pop anthems he emerges with next’

Musik Magazine: ‘I listen to a wide variety of music, genres and artists working for Musik Magazine, but I may be brave enough to say that “Lullaby Highs” is my favourite so far!’

Prior to lockdown Bastie could be seen gigging most nights around Herefordshire and in London venues including The Bedford and Lion Coffee + Records. With the easing of lockdown Bastie has started performing live again.
