MORÈL

Theres something nocturnal about her voice: as if she sings for those who cannot sleep. And yet, morèl prefers to write in the quiet of early mornings, when only the city whispers.
It is not only her voice that brings solace; it is her stories that draw the listener in. Where others are scared of the unknown, morèl takes her brush and paints worlds that both feel familiar and deeply unknown. Her lyrics are raw, instantly relatable, yet always wrapped in poetry. Melancholy runs through them, not only as sorrow, but as the very ground beneath each song. Her siren-like voice, fragile yet layered, is carried by guitar lines that recall a melancholic Joan Baez. Her sound is entirely her own, yet unmistakably shaped by flamenco, which has been a constant factor in her life. Accompanied by Nadine Rypkema on guitar, she takes you on a journey through her life. Her music has already reached listeners through national Dutch radio (NPO Radio1), and this October, morèl presented her own show in Paris: a milestone that marks her growing presence as an international live artist. morèl sings as if the night understands her in ways the day never could.

FRENCH VAGUE

Calling all daydreamers, river lovers, and tree worshippers! French Vague is the indie folk rock music project of singer-songwriter Greg Hermann, exploring our relationship with nature, love, loss, and the fragility of the human experience; turning tides of illness into songs.

Expect bright and gloomy lyrics, sung in a French accent, and a general tendency to stay Vague, played on guitar, resonator, octave mandolin and mandocello. French Vague’s debut EP, ‘Joyfully Downbeat’, is out on 25 June.
