8:00PM GEORGE WINDSOR

Born and raised in Hednesford, George’s love for music started at an early age. Growing up in a close-knit community, he was exposed to various musical influences, ranging from classic rock to contemporary pop. His passion for performing led him to take the stage at local pubs and clubs, where he developed his skills as a live performer. The energy and excitement of connecting with an audience fuelled his desire to pursue a music career.

During his teenage years, George took to the streets of Birmingham as a busker. Armed with his mini PA system and a repertoire of original songs and cover classics, he entertained passersby, honing his craft while building a loyal following. The experience of performing in such a raw and unfiltered environment allowed him to develop a unique sound that resonated with listeners. It was during this time that George began to dream of taking his music to a wider audience.

Breakthrough on X-Factor

George’s big break came when he auditioned for the popular talent show X-Factor. His performances and genuine personality captured the attention of both the judges and viewers alike. Though his journey on the show was met with challenges, it provided him with invaluable exposure and experience in the competitive world of music. The exposure from X-Factor opened doors to opportunities that he had only dreamed of, ultimately leading him to New York City.

Recording in New York City

After his time on X-Factor, George travelled to NYC to work with one of Lady Gaga’s former producers. This experience was transformative for him as he delved into the world of professional recording. The sessions allowed him to experiment with his sound and explore new musical avenues. Collaborating with a producer of such calibre not only refined his skills as a musician but also helped him establish a professional network within the industry.

Upon returning to the UK, George began writing with friend and songwriter Benji Maycock, a partnership that would prove to be pivotal in his career. Their collaboration led to a publishing deal that further solidified George’s position as an emerging artist. The duo crafted several songs, including the hit “Name On It,” which gained significant traction by being featured as the trailer for a prestigious film festival in New York City. This sync placement showcased George’s potential, earning him recognition beyond the local music scene.
