BERTEL HAUGEN

Bertel Haugen is a London-based singer/songwriter who grew up on a small farm in Wales. He writes quirky folk-inflected tunes that are influenced by Welsh bands like Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci and Super Furry Animals, as well as alt-folk artists like Bill Callahan and Adrienne Lenker. Bertel’s previous self-released album, Musty Pasty Dusty, was picked up by radio DJs Cerys Matthews, Bethan Elfyn, Adam Walton, Tom Robinson and Simon Raymonde from Cocteau Twins and got plays on Radio 1 and 6 Music. His third album, ‘The Bracken’ launched on the 5th September 2025. The Bracken is an exploration of the darker side of nature but seen through the lens of Bertel’s wry sense of humour. Bertel says “Bracken is a large coarse fern that grows on wet moorland. It’s an insidious plant that can take over entire fields, hills and mountains without careful management. The songs on The Bracken have had a similar effect on me for the last 10 years, slowly but surely taking over my brain. I needed to get them out into the world, mainly for my own peace of mind.” His music has been described as “joy-encrusted song jewels.”

PETER RICHARDSON

Peter Richardson is a singer-songwriter from Dublin. A lifelong musician, he began recording his original songs at home in the summer of 2020, releasing his debut single, “The End of The World,” that October, an indie folk ballad with choral vocals and apocalyptic, emotive lyrics. He followed with a string of releases, including “Please Don’t Believe Me,” which premiered on RTÉ Radio 1, and his debut EP Then & Now, produced by Cian Sweeney (1000 Beasts). Peter and his band made their live debut that summer, selling out the upstairs in Dublin’s Whelan’s weeks in advance, and moving to headline the venue’s iconic main room due to overwhelming demand for their first ever show. Since then, Peter and his band have moved from strength to strength, with sold-out headline shows all around Dublin at the Soundhouse, BelloBar and The Grand Social, an appearance at Kaleidoscope Festival, a London debut and their debut at Ireland’s biggest festival, Electric Picnic.
