Join us for a night of live music. The cherry on top? All ticket proceeds will go straight to Cancer Research UK.

We are pleased to announce that GIVE & GIG is back for a FOURTH time at The Bedford!

For those who are new here – welcome. This yearly music evening was founded in memory of our Dad, Mark, who we lost to Oesophageal cancer in 2020. He was a huge music lover, so a charity music night felt like the perfect way to honour his memory. The evening brings people together for a great evening whilst also raising money for an incredible charity, Cancer Research UK.

What started as a small idea has grown into something really special, and we are so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way – from family and friends to the amazing musicians and The Bedford pub. Over the past years we’ve raised an amazing £11,691 for Cancer Research UK, with £7,744 of that coming from 3 previous years of ticket sales. If you’re unable to attend this years event but would still like to donate, you can do so right here.

Here’s to another year of music, community, and raising as much as we can for a fantastic cause close to our heart.

TAPES

Tapes is a London based 5 piece alt-rock band. Their sound draws influence from 90s alternative artists such as PJ Harvey and singer songwriters such as Neil Young and Joni Mitchell.

They have been gigging around the London scene, performing at venues such as The George Tavern, Paper Dress Vintage and Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes.

SWEET GENE

Melody obsessed, groove driven 4 piece. Drawn to Manchester by the music culture brothers Freddie & Matt soon found themselves living and making music with friends in Dove Ellis and Westside Cowboy.

Hooking up with rhythm section, Henry and Milo, locked in the groove and working with Producer Pranam Mavahalli has seen the bands sound really take shape in 2026.

WYMBS

Wymbs is a solo acoustic act with strong 60’s throwback influences, blending catchy melodies, Beatles-esque harmonies, and a touch of humour. Featuring acoustic guitar and harmonica, the sets bring a raw, energetic feel inspired by classic Britpop and rock ’n’ roll. Debut music is currently in the final stages of mixing and mastering, set for release later this summer
