What's on

We’re back for round 2.

GIVE & GIG to a great cause close to everyone’s hearts!

Come for a chilled evening of live music at The Bedford in Balham, raising money for Cancer Research UK in memory of Mark Elliott and all those loved and lost.

100% of your ticket proceeds will go straight into funding vital cancer research here in the UK, to help save lives and beat cancer sooner.

Mark Elliott was a lifelong music fan, who loved sharing his favourites and new finds with his family. Mark also encouraged his daughters to play, perform, and make music of their own, wanting them to share in his passions, and generate even more music for his own listening!

Sadly in 2020 Mark was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, and passed away shortly after his diagnosis. His family is organising this event in his memory, and for all those no longer with us. 100% of donations raised will be sent straight to funding vital research at CRUK for oesophageal cancer.

If you can’t make GIVE & GIG, but would still like to help us raise money, then any donations, big or small, would be greatly appreciated on our fundraising page. Click here to donate.

Tickets From £11.55 Doors open at 7:00 pm, Full bar & Menu available

The Colossals are a jazz-funk five piece who take influence from Snarky Puppy, Casiopea, The Brecker Brothers and Marcus Miller, to name a few.

Their sound combines a tight rhythmic foundation with searing melodies and dreamy textures, creating a platform for experimentation and improvisation, they strive to push the boundaries of instrumental funk and groove-based music.

Formed of Fin Millard (drums), Cara Joshi (bass), Max Barnard (saxophone), Josh McGregor (baritone guitar) & Dan Fawcett (guitar) they began playing together because of their love for music with grooves that you can’t help but dance to, and melodies that you can’t help but sing back. Their explosive live shows are unforgettable and unmistakeable, they demonstrate a level of tightness developed from hours of playing together.

Inspired by the early nineties alternative scene and the melodies/lyricism of artists such as Joni Mitchell and Bruce Springsteen, Tapes began as a duo with multi-instrumentalists, Evelyn Elliott and Jake Bott. Moving away from the rural necks of Leicestershire in a hope for less hay bails and more venues, they arrived in the great city of London to form a band. With the addition of bassist Tauna Woolfe, guitarist Kasper Pauley and drummer Alex Karakurt, Tapes are now ready to venture out into the London music scene.
