8:00PM PAPER ANTHEM

Like an ouroboros, Paper Anthem begins exactly when it ends, as American singer-songwriter Joseph Hitchcock abandons a near-decade of solo artistry for a fresh start in London, home to all the late naughties indie that inspired him. Here, Hitchcock meets the other three members of the increasingly international Paper Anthem lineup: guitarist Noor Harajli (Brazil), bassist Carlo Haltrich (Romania), and drummer Joe Spoors (Nottingham), all filmmakers who accidentally fell into the music industry. The fruits of an aggressive recording schedule were finally plucked in December 2023 with the release of their first EP, A Victimless Crime, merely a small taste of what they’re planning for 2024 as they continue swimming to the surface of the endless sea of noise that is the London music scene.

8:45PM HALLWORTH

British songwriter Hallworth is known for her heartfelt indie pop. She first garnered attention with 2021’s release ‘Built To Last’ which was picked up by The Unsigned Guide and Reform Radio. Her sound reflects a girl next door indie pop nostalgia: fleeting summer romances and heavy heartbreaks. Hailing from South London, Hallworth grew up playing classical music, but always gravitated towards pop music, writing songs from the age of 9 and playing at school talent shows. Her debut EP ‘The Songs That Ache’ was released on the 1st of March. Through working with female producers and developing her own production skills, Hallworth has created a sound that feels authentic and undeniably hers.
