“Rob is the creative force behind The Big Wave, a London-based indie rock project blending heartfelt songwriting with anthemic, guitar-driven energy. Drawing influence from classic and contemporary indie sounds, his music is known for its emotional honesty, lyrical depth, and raw sonic texture. Since the release of his debut album For Paula in 2018—a deeply personal tribute and artistic milestone—Rob has continued to build momentum. Several of his songs have reached the finals of the UK Songwriting Competition, a testament to his growing reputation as a compelling storyteller and composer. His breakout track “Big Wave” has made serious waves, amassing over 25,000 Spotify streams and earning him a dedicated and steadily expanding audience. Live, The Big Wave comes to life with a full band: Tim Campbell on drums, Mark Thorne on keys, and either Keith Davis or Steve Phillips on bass and backing vocals. Together, they deliver passionate, immersive performances that fuse intimacy with intensity. Catch them live at The Bedford, Balham (Tuesday 3rd November 2026).
