What's on

LIVE AT THE BEDFORD

We are excited to be starting live music back at The Bedford again, however, due to the Covid-19 situation, we have had to make some fundamental changes to the way the evenings run in order to make sure the environment is safe for everyone.

Tonights show is FREE entry, but everyone needs to book in advance – there will be a ticket link below – Sadly we have limited capacity and no ability for people to walk in and stand, everyone needs to have a seat, There will of course be a full menu and table service throughout the night to look after you all.

For anyone unable to make it in person we will be streaming the show live (our 17th year of live steaming) via the facebook page – www.facebook.com/thebedfordpub

Doors open at 7pm and we ask everyone to come early enough and stay long enough to enjoy all the performances, as we are unable to use a table for other people  if you arrive late, leave early or aren’t able to make it. Due to tier 2 regulations you can only have one household or support bubble per table. Thank you for understanding.

This evening we have live music from:

7:30pm ABI FARRELL

8:30pm ENA FAY

8:30pm ENA FAY

Ena Fay draws you in with her distinctive voice and unique writing style, which are at the core of her soulful music. The sweet yet intense musical layers take you to a movie like scene with very honest lyrics. The theatrical edge to her performance may remind you of artists like Kate Bush. The experimental side in her writing may provoke links to Bjork, yet her pop melodies and style take you back to Florence and The Machine.

London based since 2012, the German/Irish singer-songwriter pursued her passion by studying contemporary music performance at ICMP, performing (solo or with full band) at renowned venues such as The Bedford in Balham and by putting on her own concerts in theatres in 2017 (London) and 2019 (Belfast). Meanwhile she independently recorded and released her seven track debut EP ‘Arwen’ with her lead single ‘This Is Us’. This song was also featured in SWL Fringe’s 2018 theatre production ‘Fish Eye’ at The Tabard in West London. It was also the basis for Adelaide Damoah’s art exhibition ‘This Is Us’ in Camden Image Gallery in 2015.
Now you can look forward to Ena’s next London show which will celebrate the release of her second six track EP ‘I Can Feel It, Too’. She will also be performing at the grand Wilton’s Music Hall in May 2021 as part of the Music4All festival.

On 22nd August the first single from the upcoming EP was released via AWAL. Find the song ‘August’ out on all major platforms as well as the official music video on Youtube! Ena Fay’s Belfast 2019 summer show has been an hour and a half of pure joy for eyes and ears. Her writing touches your heart. – Claudio Salerno, theatre director. Ena Fay’s songs are beautiful, for their pureness and honesty. That’s what stands out. – Tom Krupan, fellow musician and bass player.
