8:00pm JOSEPH BELL

Joseph Bell picked up a guitar at age 13 and began performing around his hometown of Shrewsbury from 14. Later teaching himself to produce music, Bell blends acoustic and electronic elements to create songs with influences from indie, pop, R&B and more. After gigging across London for several years, Bell released his first EP ‘Dancing Days’ in November 2020 and is now working on new music for the end of 2021 along with a range of collaborations. His song ‘Overload’ was recently played by Scott Mills on BBC Radio 1, and all of his songs have been supported by BBC Introducing in Shropshire and Herefordshire.

8:30pm LUKE GITTINS

Luke Gittins is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter-guitarist from Chippenham.

Recently, Luke learnt the Ed Sheeran song “Afterglow” which he did in a matter of minutes after it was posted on Ed’s social media. Luke immediately posted his version on his own social media and Ed Sheeran watched it! Luke then attended an Ed Sheeran concert on August 25th, 2021 at the HMV 100th anniversary show at HMV Empire in Coventry. Ed spotted Luke in the crowd, pointed to him, and said: “SO I uhhh, so  I released a song at Christmas. By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed your cover, I thought it was wonderful. ”Ed then explained to the audience …” I was like – I saw, this guy did an amazing cover of this song. I actually, when I watched it, was like ahh man he kinda sings it better than I do. But anyway, I really liked it – it was beautiful.”

A fitting tribute to the talented upcoming artist, Luke Gittins.

9:30pm THE HARRIETS

The Harriets are a Leeds-based alternative pop and rock band, fronted by lead vocalists Daniel Parker-Smith and Ben Schrodel. With accomplished songwriting, unmistakable harmonies and a live show that lifts the soul, they are making waves in the UK music scene.

After being nominated for Glastonbury Emerging Talent and Record Store Day Unsigned in 2019, the band released their 2020 debut album ‘Hopefuls’ to great success. International sales in Europe and the US, a four-star review by Rolling Stone Magazine DE, airplay on BBC Radio and a regional TV feature have given the band a new platform for their music.

‘Irresistible’ – ⭑⭑⭑⭑, Rolling Stone Magazine DE.

‘I challenge you not to instantly fall in love with ‘Café Disco’ and The Harriets. This is a song to take you straight back to youth. A great live band too!’, Glastonbury Emerging Talent.

“To me, their song television sounds like a lost classic recording from This Is: CBGB’s era New York, which in my book is high praise indeed”, Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music.
