LIVE AT THE BEDFORD

We are excited to be starting live music back at The Bedford again, however, due to the Covid-19 situation, we have had to make some fundamental changes to the way the evenings run in order to make sure the environment is safe for everyone.

Tonights show is FREE entry, but everyone needs to book in advance – there will be a ticket link below – Sadly we have limited capacity and no ability for people to walk in and stand, everyone needs to have a seat, There will of course be a full menu and table service throughout the night to look after you all.

For anyone unable to make it in person we will be streaming the show live (our 17th year of live steaming) via the facebook page – www.facebook.com/thebedfordpub

Doors open at 7pm and we ask everyone to come early enough and stay long enough to enjoy all the performances, as we are unable to use a table for other people  if you arrive late, leave early or aren’t able to make it. Thank you for understanding

This evening we have live music from:

8.30pm – Alexis Corey

9.30pm – Will Purdue

ALEXIS COREY

8.30pm

Alexis Corey is a dynamic and powerful vocalist and songwriter from New York City. She travels the world and country sharing her music as well as hope and awareness to others who have shared suffering from addiction and mental health issues. She has performed music professionally since early childhood, however, at a young age experienced extreme life altering events which caused her to turn to drugs and alcohol to cope with life at a very young age. This led her to a significant amount of demoralisation and prevented her from truly being able to pursue her music career. After years of battling with addiction and mental health issues, Alexis is now able to live her dream of being a traveling artist and helps inspire others to do the same. She creates music, performs regularly with her band, songwrites and advocates for women and men who suffer from mental health issues as well as domestic violence.

What inspires her music today is the healing of her own soul and transmitting the same healing, joy and pure entertainment to other human beings. She is now in the business of creating healing through musical entertainment to transform the hearts and minds of others. The idea that we may transform and live a purposeful, meaningful and impactful life by design, which by default impacts the lives of others, is what drives her to create and evolve. It is pure alchemy. She is able to best share this through the gift of music and songwriting which she is eternally grateful for.

She wants people to connect with their souls through the music. She wants people to know they are not alone. She wants human beings to connect to each other across all different genders, races, sexual preferences, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses and any other imaginary labels we as a collective humanity have created. The true purpose of music is to foster connection and community to enable all to lead a joyous life filled with abundance and happiness. Her following identifies with love, kindness, peace, wisdom, authenticity, grace and the Divine. She desires people to feel just a little more hopeful, just a little more loving, just a little more care-free, just a little more human, just a little more compassionate, more empowered, and fully expressed every after they have listened to and experienced her music as well as her unmistakable energy. Alexis provides an experience of the present moment that is not to be forgotten, warms your heart and inspires you to believe in yourself and the possibilities that are limitless always within your reach!

WILL PURDUE

Will is an Alt Country Singer – song writer, inspired by the likes of The National, R.E.M. and Leonard Cohen. His new EP ‘I stayed too long, you left too soon’ is coming this October, with new single ‘Call My Name’ coming Oct 1st. With Springsteen’s Nebraska an inspiration, Will stripped right back to the bare bones of acoustic guitar, violin and pedal steel to really let the songs tell their story and for the emotion of the vocals to shine through. It was recorded at the famous Church Studios (Adele, U2) in London.
Expect an intensity to his live performances, a deep honesty to his lyrics and big choruses.
