8:30 PM YARDLANDER

Yardlander are a 4-piece rock band from London, taking inspiration from 90s rock like Jeff Buckley and more modern folk, like Big Thief and Bon Iver. Lead vocalist Oscar Koronka’s confessional lyrics tackle body dysmorphia, obsessional self-blame, and the stagnation of a long-term relationship, all supported by delicate guitar arrangements and driving drums. With their second set of songs, Koronka took on the production and mixing of their new material entirely. The combination of a breakup, a job loss, and the pandemic thing resulted in a period of intense creative output for Koronka. Demos were shared through online calls with supporting musicians Tom Hill (bass), Will Pickering (drums), and Kit Gallagher (guitars), who each honed their parts in isolation over the months. With new tracks in tow, Yardlander self-built a studio in a warehouse in Haringey, North London. The space allowed Yardlander to bring the songs to life in their own time, on their own terms. After a long lockdown, they are finally ready to bring these new songs to life in a live performance setting.
