8:00PM MIA WILKS
At just 18, Mia Wilks is emerging from the London music scene as an authentic musician and storyteller, with a voice resonating far beyond her years. Deeply rooted in SE London, Miagrew up immersed in a rich, diverse cultural landscape. With no extended family nearby, long car journeys to visit relatives became the soundtrack of her childhood. Icons like Faith Evans, Michael Jackson, Mary J Blige, Maxwell and Aaliyah shaped her early musical imagination, leaving a lasting imprint on the music she creates today. Mia began writing and recording songs on an iPad in her bedroom at a young age. Aged 8, she experienced a moment that would shape her journey when a music teacher told her, in front of the class, that she couldn’t sing. Rather than giving up, this incident became a turning point, strengthening Mia’s resolve to pursue music and prove that voice wrong. Today, Mia channels that resilience into her songwriting, crafting music that celebrates perseverance, self-belief and a quest to find your place in the world. Her songs speak to anyone who has ever felt “not enough.”

8:45PM DEAR PEOPLE
Dear People is the artist moniker of Brighton-based Bex Green. She creates synth-pop which manages to sound both dreamy and epic at the same time (Melita Dennett, BBC Introducing). The recently released self-titled debut EP, Dear People, was written on a retro Bontempi keyboard and layered up with drum loops and meandering vocal layers. She headed to Bristol to record with producer Jonny Bird (Army of Bones) and Mike Griffiths (Muncle). The debut release is a beautiful set of vulnerable yet powerful songs displaying song-craft, vocal beauty, and unique synth-based instrumentation. A wordless version of the EP has also been released, and new material is already in the works for a follow-up release later this year. She is performing her unique set of songs live.
