What's on

LIVE AT THE BEDFORD

We are excited to be starting live music back at The Bedford again, however, due to the Covid-19 situation, we have had to make some fundamental changes to the way the evenings run in order to make sure the environment is safe for everyone.

Tonights show is FREE entry, but everyone needs to book in advance – there will be a ticket link below – Sadly we have limited capacity and no ability for people to walk in and stand, everyone needs to have a seat, There will of course be a full menu and table service throughout the night to look after you all.

For anyone unable to make it in person we will be streaming the show live (our 17th year of live steaming) via the facebook page – www.facebook.com/thebedfordpub

Doors open at 7pm and we ask everyone to come early enough and stay long enough to enjoy all the performances, as we are unable to use a table for other people  if you arrive late, leave early or aren’t able to make it. Thank you for understanding

This evening we have live music from:

7.30pm – Mike Nisbet

8.20pm – Later Youth

MIKE NISBET

Mike Nisbet recorded his third album I Was A Great Lake, Once over the great Lockdown of 2020. Although the album was recorded over an intense 2 month period the songs had been growing and living with mike for the past 5 years. With I Was A Great Lake, Once, Nisbet took full control over production and performance at his home studio in SE London. With the only other voice on the record being his wife Norma, the result is an incredibly introspective album. Diving into the hope and fears of the man, but never losing sight of groove and melody to bring the audience into his world.

LATER YOUTH

LATER YOUTH is the new project from British singer-songwriter Jo Dudderidge. His distinctive voice and piano take centre stage within songs and arrangements that have drawn comparisons to Rufus Wainwright, Vampire Weekend and Billy Joel.

Having fronted revered Manchester Folk-Rocker’s ‘The Travelling Band’ for over a decade spanning four acclaimed albums, the now London based multi-instrumentalist has also made his name performing onstage with international artists such as Ren Harvieu, Aldous Harding, James Walsh (Starsailor) and Lissie. The latter invited him to open up on her world tour throughout 2019.

With an often self deprecating take on the world, audiences can expect a heart-on-sleeve performance at every Later Youth show, served with captivating songs that are witty, moving and most importantly, entertaining.
