8:00 PM CHRISTOPHER CROMPTON

Christopher Crompton is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, writer and poet from the West Midlands.
His work is created from a diverse palette of influences that cross genres and cultures. His distinctive voice and guitar playing draw these threads together into a unique sound and presentation. The subjects he addresses are equally heterogeneous, from the personal to the political, from the Stoic to the spiritual, from the everyday to the extraordinary. In every corner of experience, Christopher seeks the sensibilities that render the individual universal. His words and music set out to make you feel something. They challenge but carry compassion. They empathise, lament, celebrate and encourage.

“Has a poet’s skill in universalising an individual experience “
—Folk London

“Highly skilled guitarist”

9:30 PM CUTWATER

Cutwater make sonically intense, guitar-driven music. Big, interwoven arrangements showcase erudite lyrics, memorable hooks and an appreciation of the perfectly constructed song.
Cutwater released their first album, The War on Entropy, in 2020 which featured fan favourites London is Inspired, The Rose Window, and Couldn’t Love You More.
2022 saw the release of The Brutal Light, and the single Waves. The band will be touring and playing the UK and France in Spring/Summer 2024 to support the upcoming release of two new songs as a double A-side. My True Love and How we going to Live on Mars? capture the classic guitar rock artistry and lyrical craft that is Cutwater.

Drawing a line from the British pop craftsmanship of The Kinks, Badfinger and Nick Lowe through the grungy folk-rock of Neil Young and Creedance Clearwater Revival to The Lemonheads and Teenage Fanclub, Cutwater have built a real following in London and beyond!
