BIRD SOUNDS PRESENTS: LIVE AT THE BEDFORD
We are incredibly excited to announce that live music is back at The Bedford!
The venue has made some fundamental changes to the way the evenings run in order to make sure the environment is safe for everyone. Tickets for this show are free and everyone must register for a seat via Eventbrite. There will be a limited capacity and no ability for people to walk in or for any audience standing. There will of course be a full menu and table service throughout the night to look after everyone
Doors open at 7pm and we ask everyone to arrive early enough and stay long enough to enjoy all the performances as we are unable to use a table for other people if you arrive late, leave early or aren’t able to make it The show will also be live streamed via our Facebook page. bby blu is a 20-year-old self-taught singer/songwriter from Reading, currently at the University of York studying Philosophy. Her musical style is a combination of Jazz, Soul, R&B and the UK hip-hop scene – heavily influenced by the likes of Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill and Greentea Peng. Jessy creates a mellow, soulful, yet honest feel to her lyrics with her distinctive jazz inspired tone. She produces, writes and records all her own tracks in her bedroom for the Soundcloud music platform. Coming from a musical family and growing up watching her father play in bands and hearing stories of her grandfather pressing some of the first records in the UK, music inevitably played a huge role in her life. She taught herself to sing and play piano and guitar to accompany song writing, immersing herself in the musical world from a very young age.

DEJA
DEJA is the voice of real talk. She places relatable and fiery lyrics on her sticky rhythmic pop sound. Performing alongside the likes of Stormzy, Etta Bond and The Jacksons, DEJA is known for delivering a soul-baring vocal with and energy and attitude that gets the crowd moving. Lower your sunglasses as DEJA’s songs are the ‘verbal eye-rolls’ you never knew you needed.

SVETLANA
Courageously authentic and possessing an artistic soul reminiscent of the icons which have shaped music today, Svetlana encompasses the spirit, lyrical ability and passion to create a unique legacy as a soul singer and songwriter. Having been described as having a “classic voice and visual style”, she is currently working on her debut EP. So far, Svetlana has performed in prominent venues such as The Dublin Castle, Roundhouse and The Bedroom Bar.
