TIFF STEVENSON – Choice Bits of “Sexy Brain”  

Critically-acclaimed stand up, writer and actor Tiff Stevenson (Mock the Week, People Just Do Nothing, The Office, Game Face, ABC’s The Weekly) brings a solo show to Balham Comedy Festival for the first time. We invite you to spend an hour with a woman and her self-diagnosed ‘Sexy Brain’… a study in trying to see all sides of every argument and driving yourself slowly mad in the process. She’s going to throw in a little new material too. 

‘Sexy Brain’ was one of Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s Best Reviewed shows of 2022. Her previous 5* rated shows (Bombshell, Mad Man, Mother) have all been listed in ‘British Comedy Guide’ Edinburgh Fringe Top 20 best shows.

Her thought provoking and engaging style consistently see Tiff play to packed audiences, consistently garnering ten 4 and 5 stars reviews for her shows. Her weekly live show Old Rope has enjoyed a succession of sell-out runs at the Edinburgh festival. Old Rope showcases new material from up-and coming as well as established headline acts and plays to capacity crowds every Monday night in London. 

Tiff’s thought provoking comedy and satire engages audiences worldwide from London, Sydney, Montreal, New York, Shanghai and beyond. She can boast a long list of TV and radio credits, and she also writes regularly for the Metro newspaper.

Banana Cabaret is delighted to bring you our 11th critically acclaimed Balham Comedy Festival from Friday 7th – Saturday 15th July.

It’s 9 nights of choice standup comedy – celebrity and household name acts, rising stars and comedians’ comedians, first-timers and festival favourites, solo shows and special guest appearance – there are shows to satisfy every comic taste, all wrapped cosily in the round at our beautiful venue.

There are two acts on each of the solo show dates. The rip-roaring Best of Banana Cabaret shows each feature four superb comedians plus compere. A special guest joins the bill to make six comics in total on closing night.

Balham Comedy Festival 2023 spans nine nights and features an amazing twenty-eight comedians, performing in our home of almost 40 years, the Bedford’s iconic round Club Room where Banana Cabaret has hosted the likes of Eddie Izzard, Sarah Millican, Jack Whitehall, Sara Pascoe and Joe Lycett.

The festival is presented by Banana Cabaret – one of London’s longest-running premier comedy clubs – loved by comics and audiences alike and always one of the best lineups in town – and is co-produced by Banana Cabaret’s Dave Vickers and award-winning comedian John Moloney.
